Book Redesign, The Period Book '25

For my senior thesis project, I chose to redesign a book about puberty and periods for pre-teens. I found the original design outdated and unlikely to resonate with a pre-teen audience in 2025. As someone deeply passionate about women’s rights and period poverty, I saw this project as meaningful and timely. I also welcomed the challenge of designing for pre-teens, a demographic I feel is often overlooked in contemporary design. This project involves creating over a hundred stylized illustrations, ranging from period products to detailed genital diagrams. I’m also exploring playful, engaging typographic layouts to make the content feel approachable, empowering, and fun.
